Super Bowl 2019: The Super Bowl is here! The New England Patriots are in their third-straight Super Bowl and they’ll face the Los Angeles Rams for the right to be named NFL Champions. Let’s take a look how you can follow Super Bowl 53 on Sunday.

The Patriots continue to be the betting favorite with two days left until Super Bowl LIII. The Rams know this, however, and will be using an us-against-the-world mentality heading into the year’s biggest sporting event. Only one team can lift the Lombardi Trophy – something the Patriots have done to historic levels in the last two decades. Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and co. will have their hands full with the Rams defense of Aaron Donald and Marcus Peters, while the Pats offense will have to contend with a balanced Rams attack on the other side of the ball.

We’ve got answers to all of your questions about Super Bowl LIII right here.

When Will Super Bowl LIII Be Played?

Super Bowl Sunday is on February 3rd, 2019.

What Time is Kickoff?

Super Bowl 53 will kick off at 6:30 PM ET on CBS.

How Can I Watch Without Cable?

You can live stream it free on fuboTV with a 7-day trial. fuboTV requires no contracts, and is available on every mobile and connected TV device such as Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire TV.

Who are the commentators for the game?

Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be the announcers for the big game. It will be Romo’s first Super Bowl appearance since he started commentating for CBS.

Who is performing at halftime and kickoff?

The national anthem will be sung by Atlanta-local and R&B singer Gladys Knight. There are prop bets out there that she will bring her Pips out to help her sing the anthem. The halftime show will be one that everyone will be talking about with three artists in Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi. Can’t wait to see who the other ‘surprise’ guests are at halftime.

How did the Patriots get here?

The New England Patriots are no stranger to the NFL Playoffs under the command of coach Bill Belichick and leadership of QB Tom Brady. This season, after a first-round bye, they defeated the San Diego Chargers 41-28 at home in the Divisional Round. In the AFC Championship, they defeated number-1 seed Kansas City Chiefs 37-31 in a thrilling overtime away victory.

How did the LA Rams get here?

The LA Rams officially have the best record in the NFL after downing the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship. That game featured a questionable non-call at the end that favored the Rams and ultimately won the game 26-23 in an overtime battle. In the Divisional Round, Los Angeles defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30-22 at home.

Super Bowl LIII is here. The New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams are set to face off in the last game of the 2018 NFL season.

Unfortunately, today marks the last day the Philadelphia Eagles can be called “the reigning Super Bowl champions.” A new title winner will be crowned this evening.

The Patriots are favored to beat the Rams in this game, which just makes New England’s “underdog” mantra even more stupid. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are seeking their sixth Super Bowl victory with the Patriots organization.

The Rams made the Super Bowl with help from the worst missed calls in NFL playoff history. Sean McVay and Jared Goff will be looking to make the most of the fortunate opportunity they’ve been granted.

Here is all the information you need to know for Super Bowl Sunday.

Rams vs Patriots

Patriots vs Rams: ‘Madden’ simulation predicts another crazy title game, with Patriots winning sixth championship. The Los Angeles Rams meet the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII Sunday at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Bill Belichick Squashes the Sean McVay Hype

Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. Central, 6:30 p.m. Eastern, with the game to be broadcast live via CBS. The Patriots are a 2.5-point favorite, according to Vegas Insider.

New England is chasing its sixth Super Bowl championship, having last won two years ago, beating Atlanta 34-28 in overtime. Los Angeles has not won the Super Bowl since 2000, when it beat Tennessee 23-17 in Atlanta.

This year’s big game is a rematch of Super Bowl XXXVI, which the Patriots won 20-17. That was the first of the five Super Bowls that New England has won since the 2001 season.

The Patriots are in the Super Bowl for the third straight year, and they will look to bounce back after losing last year’s game to the Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, the Rams haven’t been to the Super Bowl since that loss to the Pats at the end of the 2001 season.

New England Patriots (-2.5) vs. Los Angeles Rams

You know what? Just to top it off, I think we should try and convince the Red Sox to play a one-game playoff against the Yankees with the winner earning the rights to Bryce Harper.

And now, I present to you my final pick of the season … the official Super Bowl 53 prediction. The Rams would add a late field goal and make the game 38-31, but the Patriots hoisted their sixth Lombardi Trophy.

Friendly reminder: this “Madden” sim has a pretty good history of being accurate, having nailed the Pats-Eagles matchup in terms of craziness and throwing out this incredibly prescient gem two years ago:

Will it be accurate this year? You’ll have to wait and see. Fortunately you can watch in real life for free without even owning a television — just fire up the, the CBS Sports App or CBS All Access to stream the Super Bowl on any device.

However, these two teams’ flair for the dramatic will carry over. Will the Super Bowl go to overtime for only the second time in history?

Will Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman truck a Patriots receiver at a crucial point only for a referee not to call anything?

Bill Belichick Squashes the Sean McVay Hype

Rams head coach Sean McVay, 33, will be the youngest head coach in Super Bowl history, and he will make his debut opposite a legend.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been coaching in the NFL since 1975 and has been the head coach in New England since 2000. Belichick has won five rings and coached in eight Super Bowls with the Patriots, but he also won two as the New York Giants defensive coordinator in the 1980s.

McVay has quickly earned Belichick’s respect. The Rams coach shed light on their mutual respect to NBC Sports’ Peter King before his team departed for Atlanta:

“This season, he has basically texted me after every one of our games. After we beat Minnesota in September, he texted, ‘Man, you guys are really explosive and impressive and fun to watch. Congratulations—keep it rolling.’ … That’s one of the things I like about our business, our fraternity of coaches.

“As competitive as it is, guys find time to share when they can. I’m still young, still figuring it out. That stuff’s been really helpful to me.”

En route to the big game, McVay took out Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game and has had to face off in the NFC West with Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks. Respect where respect is due: McVay has dueled with the best of them to put the Rams in this position.

However, something tells us (history, mainly) that the only thing Belichick texts McVay after Super Bowl LIII will be, “Better luck next time.”

Todd Gurley Remains in Inexplicable Rut

Gurley led the NFL with 21 total touchdowns in the regular season. The 24-year-old running back was very much in the NFL MVP conversation until a knee injury hindered his performance down the stretch—keeping him out of the Rams’ final two regular-season games completely.

Gurley has been listed as healthy and played in both of L.A.’s postseason games. Against Dallas in the divisional round, he resembled what is expected of him with 16 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown. Remaining defenses cringed at the thought of him combined with bowling-ball back C.J. Anderson, who was signed in December.

Then the Rams arrived in New Orleans for the NFC Championship Game, and it appeared that Gurley left part of himself in L.A. He dropped a crucial third-down pass in the first half and then spent the majority of the game on the sideline. Was Gurley benched or injured?

After the game, in which he rushed for just 10 yards on four carries, Gurley addressed the speculation by telling ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry, “I was sorry as hell today. I was sorry. So, C.J. did his thing and the whole team did its thing.”

McVay has since publicly applauded how Gurley is bouncing back. The Rams coach also told reporters Friday that Gurley is fully healthy and ready to play a “big role” against the Patriots.

However, the Patriots defense has been shutting down running backs throughout the postseason. Against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, Damien Williams scored three total touchdowns but only rushed for 30 yards on 10 carries.

Prior to the Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers star running back Melvin Gordon was smothered. Gordon rushed for just 15 yards on nine tries, and the Chargers only had another four rushing yards on top of that.

It’s possible that Anderson’s presence and productivity could cause the Pats to overcompensate or underestimate Gurley, but this defensive unit has been fearsome in the postseason.

James White Shines on the Super Bowl Stage Again

You may not ever think about White during the regular season, but he has a way of making sure opponents consider him in the playoffs.

Most notable on White’s resume is his performance in Super Bowl LI. He played a crucial role as the Patriots came back from 28-3 to deficit against the Atlanta Falcons with 139 total yards and two touchdowns.

He broke and tied multiple Super Bowl records, such as most receptions in a Super Bowl with 14.

More recently, White tied the postseason reception record in the divisional round against the Chargers with 15 catches.

All of which is to say that White is primed to be the Patriots’ most pivotal piece against the Rams. Saints dual-threat running back Alvin Kamara set the blueprint in the NFC Championship Game. Kamara only rushed for 15 yards, but he exploited holes in the Rams’ coverages with 11 catches for 96 yards.

Now that the Patriots have rookie running back Sony Michel—who has gone for 100-plus rushing yards and five total rushing touchdowns in both postseason games—to punish defenses on the ground, White is freed up even more as a receiver.

Manny Pacquiao VS Adrien Broner

Pacquiao vs Broner Live Stream,Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner fight purses, salaries for welterweight title fight.preview, start time, how to watch, full card.Pacquiao returns to Las Vegas to take on Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand on 19 January on ITV4.

Saturday night, the legendary Manny Pacquiao will make the first defense of his secondary WBA welterweight championship since he claimed in July 2018 when he puts it on the line against challenger Adrien Broner. The fight will take place on Showtime pay-per-view, with the main card kicking off the festivities at 9 p.m. ET. With just one day left until the welterweight title showdown, we’re learning just how much coin all the fighters on the PPV portion of the card will be walking away with when all is said and done.

Pacquiao vs Broner Live

According to figures obtained by ESPN, Pacquiao will earn $10 million for putting his title on the line Saturday inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, while the challenger Broner will pocket $2.5 million. Both fighters, however, will also be compensated a percentage of the profits the PPV event ultimately brings in.

In the co-main event that’s being contested for the WBA silver light heavyweight championship, Badou Jack will earn $500,000 while his opponent, Marcus Browne, comes away with $250,000 for leading everyone into the marquee fight of the evening on Saturday.

Manny Pacquiao has been beating the odds since he was a teenager in the Philippines stuffing his pockets with metal at weigh-ins so he wouldn’t look like a 98-pound weakling.
Nearly a quarter century later, Pacquiao is still up for a challenge. He fights Sunday (AEDT) against Adrien Broner in a true crossroads bout that will determine a lot about his future in the ring.

Chasing a second fight with Floyd Mayweather, Pacquiao will be tested by a younger and talented fighter who has a lot to prove himself.

The WBA welterweight champ is 40 now, an age where fighters either have long stopped lacing up the gloves or are very careful in picking opponents. Pacquiao is not only still fighting, but willing to take on a 29-year-old who thinks of himself as a young Mayweather.

Pacquiao vs Broner

Pacquiao vs. Broner Weigh-In: Date, Start Time and Live Stream for Title Fight

Manny Pacquiao will return to the ring on Saturday to defend his WBA Welterweight title against Adrien Broner. The weigh-ins will take place on Friday at 6 p.m. ET (11 p.m. GMT), one day before the anticipated bout at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Saturday’s card kicks off at 9 p.m. ET (2 a.m. GMT Sunday), with the main event likely to start after 11 p.m. ET (4 a.m. GMT). American viewers can tune in through ($74.99), while the fight will be free to air on British TV via ITV4 and the ITV Hub.

There hasn’t been much buzz surrounding this title fight, with both men coming off a rough stretch in their careers and seemingly no longer among the elites in the division.

Ring Magazine has the 40-year-old Pac-Man in fifth, well below the unbeaten trio of Errol Spence Jr., Terence Crawford and Keith Thurman. Broner doesn’t even make their top 10.

Winless in his last two, Broner is coming off a majority draw against Jesse Vargas. After several missed opportunities, the former prodigy is in desperate need of a strong showing, and a win over the ever-popular Pacquiao could vault him back up the rankings.

Even at the age of 40, Pacquiao remains a big draw in the sport. In his last outing, he beat Lucas Matthysse by TKO to win the belt, his first win since his controversial loss against Jeff Horn in 2017.Because of this, there’s a good chance this will be a back-and-forth affair, with one of these fighters needing to pick it up in the championship rounds. While it may not be a slugfest, it should be an entertaining bout between a veteran adding to his legacy and a fighter looking to jump-start his career.

Broner vs Pacquiao

Pacquiao vs Broner : This Saturday, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2; 39 KO) once again steps in to the ring to take on Adrien Broner (33-3-1; 24 KO). The fight is for Pacquiao’s WBA Welterweight title. Ring Magazine has Pacquiao at #5 in the division with Broner unranked. The fight takes place this Saturday, January 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao vs Broner Live

The time is almost upon us as hall-of-fame Filipino Manny Pacquiao returns to Las Vegas to take on Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand on 19 January on ITV4.

Pacquaio, who made his debut almost 24 years ago, will be defending his WBA world welterweight title in the 70th fight of his professional career.

It’s a battle between an eight-division world champion and a four-division world champion, although Broner, despite garnering multiple accolades, has wasted the best of his career due to antics and distractions outside of the ring.

Click to Watch Showtime Boxing FREE

Pacquiao scored his first knockout in nine years last summer against Lucas Matthyse, after returning from a shock defeat to Australia’s Jeff Horn, while Broner drew to former world champion Jessie Vargas.

Floyd Mayweather, Broner’s former mentor, will be ringside for the bout with a potential money-spinning rematch against Pacquiao later in the year being mooted.

Pacquiao is 11 years Broner’s senior, and already fighting Oscar De La Hoya by the time Broner made his debut. And yet, somehow, it’s Broner who seems to be the more shot fighter, as he has not seemed mentally all the way in the game for a long time. As I said above, Pacquiao looked good in his last fight. Certainly not in his prime, but the closest to it in awhile. That should give him the advantage in speed, in power, and clearly in ring smarts. Look for him to take a few rounds to slow Broner down, then really take over by about the 4th. Like against Matthysse, a late TKO is certainly possible here, though Broner, for all his faults, is a durable fighter who has never been stopped. But I see Broner getting frustrated as this fight goes on and getting schooled in the latter half.

Broner vs Pacquiao

Pacquiao vs Broner : January is often a quiet month for the sport and that remains the case in the UK with no major shows taking place in the opening month of 2019.However, thanks to America’s ever-broadening broadcast landscape, there will still be plenty of fights to watch in the first few weeks of the year.

Pacquiao vs Broner Live

The year begins with a Sunday night show in which IBF super-middleweight champion Jose Uzcategui defends his title against mandatory challenger Caleb Plant. The Venezuelan picked up the belt in far from ideal fashion after James DeGale vacated it and so will be looking to prove his world level legitimacy in his next few fights.Pacquiao vs Broner

American heavyweight Bryant Jennings will face an intriguing test in the form of unbeaten Oscar Rivas to kick of his 2019. The heavyweight division is thrilling at present, though Jennings has become a forgotten man in this mix – something he will need to change in order to secure a second title shot.

While there are no UK shows in January, British promoter Eddie Hearn is still working as he will be hosting this card in the US. Newly crowned WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade fights former Billy Joe Saunders opponent Artur Akavov in the main event, while Jorge Linares continues to build his super-lightweight record on the undercard.Pacquiao vs Broner

It’s rare to see a card of this magnitude so early in the calendar, as January is not an ideal month for PPV events. Nonetheless, eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao will defend his welterweight belt against four-weight king Adrien Broner on a show which features a light-heavyweight clash between Badou Jack and Marcus Browne, plus a vacant bantamweight title fight – Nordine Oubaali vs Rau’shee Warren.
